Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 24, 2026

Best Luxury Beauty is built by David King. This page explains what is collected when you use the site, who collects it, and what is stored in your browser.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel processes technical request data (such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested) to deliver pages and keep the service secure. See Vercel's privacy policy.

Analytics

We use two analytics tools:

  • Vercel Web Analytics counts page views. It does not use cookies. It records aggregated information such as the page visited, the referring site, country, browser and device type. When you click a link to Amazon, that click is also recorded as an event, with the page you were on, the product's Amazon ID, where on the page the link was, and the type of page.
  • Google Analytics, provided by Google, measures how visitors use the site. Its script is not part of the initial page load: it loads on your first interaction (scrolling, clicking, tapping or pressing a key) or once the page has finished loading and the browser is idle, at most about five seconds after the page opens. Google Analytics sets the cookies _ga and _ga_C9C8DCWSPR to distinguish visitors and sessions, and Google receives your IP address and details of the pages you view. See Google's privacy policy and the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Fonts and videos

Pages use your device's own fonts and load no web fonts from other servers. Many pages show previews of YouTube videos: the preview image is loaded from YouTube's image server (i.ytimg.com), which receives your IP address. The video player itself (youtube-nocookie.com) loads only when you click play, and YouTube's own terms then apply.

Email

The site has no email sign-up and no other form that collects personal information. An earlier email sign-up was removed in October 2026, and no newsletter is sent. Addresses submitted before then remain in our account with the email provider Resend and in a private archive kept by the site owner. They are not used to send email.

Cookies and browser storage set by this site

Apart from the Google Analytics cookies above, the site itself sets no cookies. It uses your browser's local storage only for theme-preference, set only if you switch between light and dark mode; it does not identify you.

Amazon Associates

Best Luxury Beauty participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program that lets sites earn fees by linking to Amazon.com. When you click a link to Amazon, you leave this site, and Amazon may set cookies in your browser to record that you came from here. Amazon's own privacy notice covers what happens on Amazon.

What we do not do

We do not sell personal information, we do not show ads, and the site has no user accounts or comment system.
